Israeli-American Ynon Kreiz is now co-CEO of Skydance, the media giant that owns CNN, CBS, HBO, Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. He took the role following Paramount’s takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery.

Kreiz runs the company’s daily operations and oversees combining the two businesses. He shares leadership with David Ellison, who remains chairman and CEO and leads strategy, creative direction and technology.

Before this move, Kreiz led Mattel, the company behind Barbie and Hot Wheels. He helped bring the blockbuster Barbie movie to theaters, turning a toy brand into a major Hollywood success.

His appointment was announced September 30 and took effect when the merger closed October 6, placing the Israeli-born executive in one of Hollywood’s most powerful leadership positions.
