Satmar philanthropist and businessman Yoeli Landau welcomed Republican New York governor candidate Bruce Blakeman to his Williamsburg home on Sunday, October 11, for a meeting focused on affordable housing, protecting yeshiva education and keeping neighborhoods safe.

Blakeman, Nassau County’s first Jewish county executive, met with local community leaders and business owners and said Williamsburg families should not be priced out of their own neighborhood. The discussion included expanding housing opportunities, making homeownership more affordable and giving parents more choice in their children’s education.

Landau, founder and chairman of the Allure Group nursing-home network, hosted the gathering as Blakeman campaigns to become New York’s next governor.
