Korby Aaren Strube, 29, faces 23 charges involving written or electronic threats and two additional charges involving the use of a communications device to facilitate a felony.
Investigators say the threats repeatedly targeted Shapiro’s Jewish faith. Several posts included countdowns that allegedly pointed toward September 21 and 22, the dates of Yom Kippur.
Shapiro’s private security company alerted authorities. Investigators then used information from X, Google, telephone companies and Starlink to connect the accounts to Strube.
Shapiro told investigators he believed the threats were motivated by his Judaism and asked authorities to pursue charges.
