The property contains 138 beds and sits on 5.29 acres. Herzka’s Lakewood-based Emerald Group completed the purchase on September 2, paying approximately $200,000 per bed. Ganot Capital was the seller.

VNB New York provided a $26.88 million mortgage to finance the acquisition. The purchase was completed through a company connected to Emerald Group, placing the Florida property under Herzka’s growing healthcare network.

The acquisition follows a much larger expansion by Herzka. Earlier this year, Emerald purchased three New York City nursing-home properties for $296 million as part of a broader transaction reportedly worth approximately $1.7 billion.

The latest Florida purchase adds another 138 beds to the major national nursing-home and real-estate business Herzka has built since founding Emerald Group in 2015.
