Landau gave the larger amount, donating $44.56 million. His contributions included $10 million for a new boys’ school in Kiryas Joel, $5 million for two new affordable wedding halls in Williamsburg and another $5 million for a fund supporting Torah teachers.
Friedman donated a total of $28.86 million. His largest disclosed contribution was $12 million toward a new boys’ school, along with $5 million for a new girls’ school and another $5 million for an additional boys’ school building.
Their remaining donations went toward additional schools, synagogues, campuses, wedding halls and other community institutions connected to Satmar communities.
Together, the two businessmen contributed more than $73 million between 2023 and 2026, putting tens of millions of private dollars directly into expanding Jewish education and community infrastructure.
