The donation comes after Kraft refused to host Macklemore at Gillette Stadium, a move that helped lead to the rapper being removed from Ed Sheeran’s U.S. tour.
Kraft said Ed Sheeran personally called him and asked him to commit $2 million toward the humanitarian crisis, with Sheeran matching the same amount.
Kraft said he has spent much of his life trying to build bridges and added that all lives are worth protecting.
The move shows Kraft holding two positions at once, standing firmly against antisemitism while also putting millions toward humanitarian relief for civilians in the region.
