Ares paid $65.3 million for a 230,147-square-foot distribution center covering 15 acres in Hialeah. Retail giant Target leases the entire building under a 10-year agreement signed in 2022.

The company paid another $43.4 million for a 142,472-square-foot warehouse on eight acres near Sweetwater. Delivery company LaserShip leases the entire property.

Together, the two recently built properties give Ares control of more than 372,000 square feet of warehouse space across 23 acres. BGRE, formerly known as Brookfield Properties, developed both buildings between 2022 and 2023.

Ressler co-founded Ares in 1997 and remains its executive chairman and a director. The approximately $11 billion Jewish businessman helped transform the company into a global financial powerhouse managing more than $600 billion.

Ares opened a Miami Beach office in 2024 and has since purchased several major South Florida industrial properties. Across this transaction and two previously reported warehouse purchases, the firm has invested at least $285.7 million for more than one million square feet of South Florida industrial property.
