Jewish billionaires Lynda and Stewart Resnick, owners of FIJI Water, have committed $100 million to help complete a new UCLA mental health hospital in Los Angeles, expected to open in early 2027.

Jewish Billionaires Lynda And Stewart Resnick Donate $100 Million To Expand Mental Health Care At UCLA

The hospital will expand inpatient capacity from 74 to 119 beds, including 36 for children and teenagers. A separate crisis unit will help patients needing urgent psychiatric care.

UCLA says its current hospital regularly operates at capacity. The expansion will give more families access to treatment and provide additional outpatient services.

Announced in February, the donation is UCLA Health’s largest gift dedicated to mental health.

The Resnicks own The Wonderful Company, whose brands include FIJI Water, Wonderful Pistachios and flower delivery company Teleflora.
