Two Israeli army veterans, Gil Peleg and Dan Shprung, have sold their startup Geniez AI to American company Rocket Software. The business had just six employees, and CTech estimates the deal could be worth up to $100 million. The companies have not disclosed the price.
Both founders served in Mamram, the Israeli military’s computing unit. The acquisition came roughly a year after Geniez announced a $6 million funding round backed by StageOne Ventures and Canapi Ventures.
Geniez builds AI tools that help businesses run the large computer systems behind banking and other essential services. Its software monitors systems, finds problems and carries out tasks using everyday-language instructions.
This is the founders’ second company sale, as they previously built Model9, which BMC Software bought in 2023. Their Geniez team will now join Rocket Software to expand its AI technology.
