Jewish billionaire Marc Benioff is buying Israeli AI startup Loops through Salesforce in a deal estimated at $30 million, making it the software giant’s tenth Israeli acquisition.

Loops helps businesses understand why sales rise or fall, why customers leave and what they can do to improve. Salesforce will add its technology and team to Tableau, its software for analyzing business information.

Founded in 2020 by Tom Laufer and Ido Adiv, Loops raised $14 million. Laufer previously worked at Google, while Adiv led development teams in Israeli military technology and intelligence units.

The purchase follows earlier Israeli deals, including Salesforce’s $1.9 billion acquisition of Own. Salesforce announced the Loops deal on October 12 and expects to complete it in early November. The companies have not disclosed the price.
