Anthropic is expected to begin offering its shares to major investors around the middle of October. The company is also arranging access to an additional $15 billion from major banks as it prepares to let ordinary investors purchase its shares for the first time.
The company was founded in 2021 after Dario, Daniela and several colleagues left OpenAI. Dario serves as CEO and Daniela as president. In May, Anthropic raised an enormous $65 billion from investors, valuing the five-year-old company at $965 billion.
Israeli financial giants Clal Insurance and Migdal have invested approximately $310 million combined in Anthropic across multiple funding rounds. Clal has reportedly invested around $185 million, while Migdal has invested approximately $125 million.
Forbes previously estimated that Dario and Daniela were each worth around $15.5 billion, with each sibling owning slightly more than 1.6 percent of Anthropic. If their ownership remains near that level and the company reaches a $2 trillion valuation, each sibling’s stake could theoretically be worth approximately $32 billion.
The final IPO price has not been decided, and a $2 trillion valuation is not guaranteed. But the Jewish-led company has already grown into the world’s most valuable private AI business
