The two envoys have already helped lead major peace negotiations and traveled to Moscow for meetings with Russian officials. But despite negotiating Ukraine’s future, neither has visited Kyiv during this peace mission.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky personally invited them and said their first visit could help produce real solutions. The trip was previously expected to happen but was postponed as Trump kept both negotiators close during the confrontation with Iran.

Their arrival would place Kushner and Witkoff directly inside Ukraine for the first time as they try to break the deadlock and bring both countries closer to a peace agreement.
