The deal will be completed through Safe Harbor Marinas, a Blackstone-owned company that already runs a large marina network. MarineMax has more than 120 locations worldwide, including boat dealerships, marinas, yacht businesses and storage facilities.

Blackstone will pay $53 per share in cash, nearly double MarineMax’s stock price before takeover talks became public earlier this year. The company’s board has unanimously approved the sale.

MarineMax owns major boating businesses including IGY Marinas, Fraser Yachts and Northrop & Johnson, giving Blackstone a much larger position across luxury yachts, marinas and boat sales.

If shareholders and regulators approve the deal, MarineMax will become a private company by the end of 2026, expanding Schwarzman’s growing control over another major global industry.
