The unnamed German company owns a large portfolio of renewable-energy projects, mainly in Germany and across Central Europe. Taking control of the business would give Enlight a much bigger platform for developing renewable power and energy-storage projects throughout the region.

Enlight is already active across Europe, including Germany, Spain, Sweden, Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia and Ireland, with Finland and Romania recently added. The company has used acquisitions before to quickly enter and grow in new markets, including its $390 million purchase of 90% of U.S. renewable-energy developer Clenera in 2022.

The Israeli company is now valued at approximately $12 billion and continues to grow quickly. Revenue jumped 55% to $409 million during the first half of 2026, while underlying net profit increased roughly 160% compared with the same period last year.

Enlight currently has renewable-energy projects across Israel, Europe and the United States, including billions of dollars being invested in new projects. If the German acquisition is completed, it would give the Israeli energy company an even stronger position in Europe as it continues building one of Israel’s largest global renewable-energy businesses.
