Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Graham “one of Israel’s greatest friends,” saying he dedicated his life to strengthening the U.S.-Israel alliance and defending the Jewish state. President Isaac Herzog and other Israeli leaders also paid tribute, thanking him for standing with Israel during its most difficult moments.
Graham was one of the strongest pro-Israel voices in the U.S. Senate. He visited Israel many times, including after the October 7 Hamas attacks, and consistently supported Israel’s right to defend itself against Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran.
Beyond politics, Graham built close relationships with Jewish communities across America. He regularly attended Jewish events, supported local organizations, and was always willing to stand with Jewish leaders whenever they needed his support.
Graham served in the U.S. Senate for more than two decades. For many Israelis and Jews around the world, he will be remembered not only as an American senator, but as a loyal friend who never stopped standing with the Jewish people and the State of Israel.
