Israeli investor Izhar Armony and his family will donate $25 million toward Habaita, the nonprofit he founded to improve education and help displaced Israeli families return to their communities.

The donation supports a five-year effort combining private donations with government funding. Habaita helps children reconnect with teachers and friends through learning programs, summer activities and support for teenagers.

For families uprooted after October 7, the goal goes beyond getting children back into classrooms. It is about restoring routine, helping them feel at home again and giving parents a reason to rebuild their future in Israel’s northern and southern communities.
