Jewish billionaire Michael Dell and his wife, Susan, are helping 25 million American children get a financial head start through their $6.25 billion donation, with this week’s deposits expected to be completed by the end of today.
Each qualifying child receives $250 in a Trump Account, an investment account holding money for their future. The donation covers children born between 2016 and 2024, with funding directed first to neighborhoods with lower family incomes.
The couple announced the donation last December, and the money is now reaching children’s accounts across America. Dell said on Wednesday that 10 million accounts had already been funded, while the program’s administrator advises families to check their children’s accounts early next week to confirm their deposit.
