De Beers, one of the world’s largest diamond companies, is returning to Israel’s diamond exchange after nine years away, with buyers scheduled to inspect its diamonds in Ramat Gan from October 13–15, according to Globes.

The return brings a major international supplier back to Israel’s diamond trading center as local industry leaders work to rebuild business. It follows a new tax agreement for 2027–2028 designed to make Israel more competitive with other diamond markets.

Israel Diamond Exchange president Nissim Zuaretz and his team helped bring about the return, alongside officials from Israel’s Economy Ministry. The renewed auctions are a positive development for an industry facing falling exports and competition from lab-grown diamonds.
