Jewish siblings Dario and Daniela Amodei, who helped create the company behind Claude, have promised to donate 80% of their personal Anthropic shares to charity as the AI company prepares to go public at a possible value above $2 trillion.

Reuters reported this week that the promise appears in Anthropic’s IPO documents and includes all seven company founders. Dario runs Anthropic as CEO, while his sister Daniela serves as president.

The donation could eventually be worth billions, but the documents reviewed by Reuters do not reveal exactly how much of the company each sibling owns. The $2 trillion figure refers to the possible value of the whole business.

The promise has not been reported as a completed donation. Dario publicly discussed it earlier this year, saying wealthy people should help address the problems created by AI.
