A newly updated industry map tracks 422 AI security companies across 27 countries, and Israel ranks second in the world, behind only the United States. That means nearly one in four companies on the entire map is Israeli.
The gap after Israel is huge. The United Kingdom, which ranks third, has only around 20 companies.
The same dataset says American and Israeli companies together account for about 93% of the $14.2 billion in disclosed funding raised across the sector.
The figures come from the AI Security Startups Map maintained by Prompt Security, so they represent that company’s industry dataset, not every AI company in the world.
For a country of Israel’s size, having 99 companies in one of AI’s most important security sectors puts it far ahead of almost every other country.
