Kirk repeatedly urged American Christians and young conservatives to stand with the Jewish state. Months before his death, he wrote Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressing his “deep love for Israel” and warning that Israel was losing support among young Americans.

He proposed new ways for Israel to explain its story, including a rapid-response team and an “Israel Truth Network” sharing testimony from Israelis and former hostages.

Israel later honored Kirk for fighting antisemitism. Netanyahu called him a “lion-hearted friend of Israel” and a defender of their shared Judeo-Christian civilization.

Memorials are being held from New York to Australia, while Turning Point USA says its college chapters have grown 64 percent and its high-school clubs 180 percent since his death.
