Before October 7, co-creator and star Lior Raz suggested a storyline involving terrorists invading Israel. Fellow creator Avi Issacharoff rejected it because it seemed too unrealistic. Then the real Ham*s attack became far worse than anything they had imagined.
The creators scrapped their original fifth season and rewrote it completely around the new reality. Set two years after October 7, it follows Doron and his team as they struggle with trauma, loss and a dangerous mission against a Ham*s terr0rist.
Two episodes recreate October 7 and carry the first content warnings in Fauda’s history. The opening episode honors producer Matan Meir, who was killed while serving in Gaza.
Fauda previously reached Netflix’s top 10 in 21 countries and became its most-watched show in Lebanon. Season 5 now brings Israel’s story to the world.
