The facility, located in Nir Oz near the Gaza border, was forced to shut down after the attack. Several employees were injured, and two InterCure subsidiary employees were kidnapped and taken into Gaza. Both were later returned to Israel.

InterCure originally asked for $100 million in compensation. The company has now reached a final settlement with the Israel Tax Authority and Compensation Fund for about $77 million.

InterCure has already received approximately $37 million and is now expected to collect another $40 million from Israel.

The Nir Oz property was also used as a base for Israeli soldiers during the Gaza war. The settlement gives InterCure a major financial boost after years of dealing with the damage caused by October 7.
