The massive rise means Dell shares have nearly quadrupled in value this year. Based on Michael Dell’s enormous ownership stake in the company, the increase has added roughly $95 billion on paper to the value of his Dell holdings.

The surge comes as demand for the powerful servers needed to build and run artificial intelligence systems continues growing. Dell has become a major supplier of this infrastructure as companies spend billions building new AI systems and data centers.

Wall Street analysts believe the momentum could continue. Mizuho analyst Jordan Klein expects Dell’s AI and business divisions to perform better than expected, with the company’s overall revenue potentially growing 50% to 60%.

Dell founded the company from his University of Texas dorm room in 1984 with just $1,000. More than four decades later, the company bearing his name has become one of the biggest winners of the global AI infrastructure boom.
