The partnership includes OpenAI for Healthcare and ChatGPT Health, two secure AI systems built specifically for hospitals to help physicians make clinical decisions, develop treatment plans, reduce paperwork, and improve patient care. Until now, the platforms had only been available at a small number of hospitals in the United States.
Sheba Medical Center will also help adapt the AI models to Israel’s healthcare system and its own clinical protocols, allowing doctors to receive research-backed recommendations through an encrypted platform designed for medical use.
The agreement builds on Sheba’s growing reputation as one of the world’s leading medical innovation centers. The hospital already uses artificial intelligence to analyze medical imaging, detect serious heart conditions, and automatically document emergency room examinations.
The partnership marks another major milestone for Israel’s healthcare and technology sectors, making Sheba the first hospital anywhere outside the United States trusted to deploy OpenAI’s newest healthcare AI models.
