The surge is being driven by massive demand for AI servers and computing power. Dell recently reported $47 billion in quarterly revenue, up 58% from a year earlier, while its AI server business brought in $16.4 billion.

The company is also sitting on a huge $95 billion backlog of AI orders still waiting to be delivered.

That growth hits Dell’s personal fortune directly because he still owns roughly 40% of the company.

The story is even more remarkable because Dell started the business in 1984 as a 19-year-old college student with about $1,000. More than 40 years later, the Jewish entrepreneur is now one of the richest people in the world.
